Our boy Wordsmith just let me know that today he’s featured on the home page of Myspace wearing his Vintage Limited “Rock is Steady” t-shirt! So of course we jumped on the chance to capture it for posterity.
Myspace by the number has 75 million plus users, 15 million daily unique logins, 240,000 new users per day, and nearly 30 billion monthly page views - that’s 10,593 page views per second. To say that we appreciate the promotion and that we’re ecstatic for our friend’s showcase opportunity is to state the obvious. Congratulations Word! And thanks again!
On a side note: Pickup Wordsmith & Chubb Rock’s “Bridging the Gap” album on iTunes or at Best Buy!
We recently had the pleasure of being interviewed for the May 2009 issue of DC lifestyle magazine OnTap. The article turned out really good. Take a look and tell us what you think.
Check the Rock is Steady and Art Addiction fitted on Theory Hazit through-out the entire music video! Thanks for the love fam! Great song. Pick up Lord Fire from Theory Hazit if you don’t already have a copy and get a special discount code from Vintage Limited inside the jewel case.
Can somebody say… Free Music!? Ohhhhh yea. In honor of Rock is Steady we decided to create a special mix to get you in the nostalgic mood of our new piece. Hosted and mixed by our homie Theory Hazit, we laced this special “Breakers Only” mixtape with some pop-lockin, backspin favorites from the 80’s era up til today. Mixed, blended, and funk pureéd… We got you!
By the time your done listening to “Breakers Only” you’ll think you’ve just stepped into a time warp and seen Max Headroom on tv and Run DMC on the ghetto blaster while kickin some Atari 2600 with your boys. Classics! That’s all I’m gonna say. You just need to check it out right now and stop reading this. You may have heard other throw-back mixes before, but definitely NOT like this!

Baller Status, a prominent urban website recently featured Vintage Clothing Limited in their October Shopping Guide along with L-R-G and others. In addition to being featured on their hot list we also had one of our most in-depth interviews to date. Check out the lengthy interview which dropped on their home page today for all the inside details about the new Fall line, how Vintage Limited got started, and our philosophy behind the brand. Loads of good stuff worth checking out so please make sure you do! Drop a comment while your at it.
New Braille track just released today. Here’s what Braille had to say about the new promo single. Read below.
I’m working on a new record produced completely by S1 of Strange Fruit Project. We are leaking our first single this week and it’s called “Frankenstein”. The timing is perfect considering Halloween, although the song wasn’t created specifically for this holiday. It’s a concept record but we couldn’t resist the opportunity to leak it out knowing that the “theme” is so fitting for the season. – Braille
The day of the new Rock is Steady and Art Addiction drops we had the pleasure to be interviewed with an internationally syndicated show called Revolt Radio. BK, the host of the show, asked us a variety of questions from what our creative influences are when creating some of our clothing designs, to what separates Vintage Limited from allot of these other brands out today. This interview marks the first time both myself (Shaun B) and Eric Nine had the chance to be collectively interviewed live over the phone. This one you really do have to check.
Our boy Wordsmith - the Baltimore hip-hop native - just premiered his new video for the song “Park & Ride” off… and I swear I had nothing to do with this… “Vintage Material” album which is due out in 2009. Word sent the invite and I made it to the shoot in upper Maryland. I brought along my friend Trey for the shoot and his hooked up Mustang was featured in the video as well. Check for the red Mustang and Trey wearing a matching Vintage Limited Signature Series Raglan tee with the red sleeves, white body fabric, and contrasted black collar. I was rockin the Brown Classic playing the back here in this screen shot. (yo word! Whats up with you editing out my close-up! ha!) You’ll have to keep and eye out through the video for more cameos. Please… no autographs. I know we’re a couple of stars now. But hey! A guys got to keep a low profile sometimes you know what I’m sayin? HAHA!
The video should be making its rounds on blogs, YouTube, and being serviced to MTV, BET, and Comcast Music Choice so look for that as well. I definitely had a good time watching the shoot and the guys from G Light Films did an amazing job considering the weather didn’t look like it was about to cooperate for us. Rained pretty much all day. Still, the video came out amazing. Big shouts to Vivid Imagery car club from Baltimore, Maryland who came out to flexed their rides for the video as well. Something about lambo doors just makes any video a winner in my eyes.
