Krylon Tears
“Krylon Tears” is a story of a girl’s poetry coming to life.
This illustration was inspired by a conversation Shaun and I had a while back. Don’t really remember how it started but it ended up in my sketch book.
After sharing this sketch with a few close friends I decided it was worth executing for real. So I redrew the idea allot larger n with much more detail. First in pencil then went over it in ink. After some basic water coloring, scanning all the pieces, then allot of photoshopping I came up with this… Limited print of 500 get’em while you can.

I remember I was inspired by a photograph I seen of a woman looking down and her hair was caught in a wild motion as if she was in the wind or she was caught up in some sort of burst of air and she had a somber almost serious look about her. That image stuck in my mind for a day and I kept thinking to myself… “man I wonder what was wrong? If that image could talk to me what would she say and what would be my response?” Then it hit me. The whole you have to choose joy over pain… seek hope instead of settling for despair in order to triumph over anything in life mentality. So that’s when I picked up the phone and called Eric and we started to share ideas and visions on how to bring that imagery to life.
To this day when I see that art and imagery I’m astounded that even know Eric couldn’t physically see what was in my head his own unique depiction couldn’t have been more spot on. Eric did such an amazing job and his vision for the story came out incredible! The pages of her book morphing into Doves and the crazy dress lines made this.
Nobody can ever say Vintage Limited just makes art shirts because we definitely put our heart and soul into every single piece!!! This one took 2 years and 3 attempts in 3 different countries to print that masterpiece flawlessly!!
