In between working on new Vintage designs, I do posters. First poster design I did for DJ Kemit. The job was to come up with a piece of art that symbolizes a mix of African and South American music and culture. The second poster was a job I did for super producer, Los DaMytro. The instructions were pretty simple, he gave me the artist’s pictures, name and song title and said “make it fly”. Few weeks back my good friend 4ize hired me to design his first official full length album cover. “AwesoMania”. Now when he first said “AwesoMania” I was like… OK, whats that!?! He proceeded to to explain his vision of being transformed into the black Hulk Hogan and raising an army of AwesoManiacs to represent EVERYTHING AWESOME!! in which I replied… freaking awesome! I was real excited when he shared the list of guess appearances. I’ve had the privilege to hear a handful of new songs for the album and there is no doubt this is going to be an ATL Classic.

4ize is very familiar with my work and how I do my thing so the process was cake. A simple photoshoot, little research on all things awesome, and one creative briefing in the green room.. and BAM!!! “AwesoMania!!!” This has to be the first piece that I worked on n was laughing out loud by myself.  4ize and I continue to work together so expect the unexpected. I promise it will be like nothing you’ve seen before.

Its been over a month since my last post. Hope you don’t think its cuz I don’t have much going on. Its quite the opposite. I’ve never been so busy in my life. I’ve secured a few new clients and had to raise my rates cuz the demand is more then I can handle on my own. I’m in the process of moving into a new office. 669 Atone St. NW Atlanta GA 30318. Its a small upstairs loft located in between Stankonia and Zac’s Recording. Prime location for lots of new traffic. This is a real exciting time for me, not only am I seeing my business grow but I find myself surrounded with creative professionals that I respect and encourage a new level of excellence.

Poster art I did for Jim Z, Zac Recording, Stonehenge, and Upstairs Studio’s 10th Anniversary Party. My boy’s IOZ are performing. Lots of music, food, and fun. I’ll be there!!! March 27th. Its funny I went to this party 4 years ago and landed my first few freelance clients. Then quit my regular 9 to 5 the following week.

Finally got out side today and it was a beautiful, cool, sunny afternoon… put me in the mood to listen to sum old Motown records. This is a quick sketch of a man I saw reading a newspaper. Back to work!!! I can only afford to take one day off a week. This year looks like its going to be a record breaker for me. January might of been my busiest month yet, since 2004. I’m sailing through my slow season so I’m really excited bout this summer. Its funny I’m realizing the busier I am the better work I do. Here’s some work I did for Dance 411. This is one of my favorite clients, they’re doing big things, including a new line of “Dance411 Wear”. A new street wear brand inspired by Jazz, Hip-Hop, and ballet dance culture.
